Tres Cantos Leads Its Biggest Transformation

The City Council will allocate more than €27M to sports, culture, and urban planning

The Tres Cantos City Council has presented the Investment Plan for 2025, which will mean a historic transformation of the municipality.

With an investment exceeding 27 million euros, projects in sports, education, culture and urban planning will be developed.

The mayor, Jesús Moreno, has highlighted that this plan will allow for an "ambitious leap into the future," consolidating Tres Cantos as a benchmark in the Community of Madrid.

Paraninfo: The Largest Facility Project in Spain

One of the most outstanding projects is Paraninfo, the largest facility complex under construction in Spain. It will feature 1,453,128 sq. ft. (135,000 square meters) dedicated to leisure and culture, integrated into a privileged natural environment.

With an investment of 50 million euros, it will include a library, a municipal theater, a sports complex, a nursery school and a family leisure center.

In 2025, Paraninfo will receive 6.5 million euros to advance its infrastructure. The Familyteca will be completed, the Concha Espina municipal library will be built and the works of the Gran Teatro Ciudad de Tres Cantos will begin.

This theater will house the second largest stage box in the region in the future. Additionally, 1.5 million euros will be allocated for landscaping the area.

Sports: The Largest Investment of the Year

The sports section will receive 10.5 million euros, the largest budget allocation. The construction of an indoor paddle tennis pavilion will begin and the covered sports center of the Parque Norte complex will be completed.

Additionally, the athletics track will be remodeled and LED lighting will be installed on the Jaime Mata football field.

The squash courts at the Polideportivo de La Luz and the tennis courts at Embarcaciones will also be improved. Funds will be allocated for the project of the third indoor pool and gym in Paraninfo.

Education: Modernization of Schools and New Nursery School

The investment in education will amount to 2.8 million euros. The modernization of schools will continue following the model of future classrooms.

In 2025, the comprehensive remodeling of the Columbia and Nejapa schools will be a priority, as they will teach the first cycle of Secondary Education next school year.

The installation of covers in school courtyards will also be completed with that of Miguel de Cervantes. Additionally, one million euros will be allocated to start the construction of the new Nursery School in Paraninfo.

Urban Planning and Public Spaces

Other projects include drafting the expansion plan for the Municipal Senior Center, with an investment of 250,000 euros, so that the works begin this year.

Metropolitan Park, the city's large green belt, will have 500,000 euros for new outdoor sports areas.

Additionally, 400,000 euros will be allocated for improvements on Almazara Street in the industrial area and 700,000 euros to renew the paving on Avenida de La Vega.

500,000 euros will be invested in new unique children's areas and in drafting the Urban Salon project. The latter will be a 3.7-mile (six-kilometer) promenade that will run through the city from end to end.

With this ambitious investment plan, Tres Cantos consolidates itself as one of the cities with the greatest development and quality of life in the Community of Madrid.
