FITUR 2025 has featured the participation of 9,500 companies and representatives from 156 countries, reflecting the vitality of the industry

The 45th edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) has closed its doors with an impressive figure of 255,000 visitors. This event, held in Madrid, has clearly shown the growth of the sector. In the first three days, 155,000 professionals have passed through its pavilions.

FITUR 2025 has featured the participation of 9,500 companies and representatives from 156 countries, reflecting the vitality of the industry. Across 884 stands, tourism agents have presented the latest trends. This event has had a significant economic impact on Madrid, generating 445 million euros.

One of the major attractions of this edition has been the prominent presence of Brazil as a Partner Country, offering an attractive proposal for attendees. The Fair has served to reflect the dynamism of the tourism sector.

According to reports, in 2024 there were 1.4 billion international tourist arrivals, highlighting the good moment the market is experiencing. In Spain, Madrid has broken records, with 16 million tourists in 2024.

EDATV had the opportunity to tour the stands and gather testimonies from the main authorities in the sector.  These voices have highlighted the projects and proposals aimed at growing the tourism industry. Various regions of Spain have presented their most innovative initiatives.

The province of Cádiz has been one of the main protagonists at FITUR 2025.  The president of the Provincial Council, Almudena Martínez, highlighted the sustainability of the Cadiz proposal. Alongside deputies Germán Beardo and Juancho Ortiz, the province presented itself with a diverse and ecological approach.

The Malaga municipality of Rincón de la Victoria also excelled at the Fair. Under the direction of Mayor Francisco Salado, a promotional campaign was presented to attract more national tourists. The Tourism Councilor, Antonio José Martín, highlighted the efforts to consolidate this destination.

Meanwhile, Torrox, on the eastern coast of Malaga, offered its perfect blend of sun, sea, and culture. With a focus on sports tourism, the locality is positioning itself as an emerging destination. Similarly, Vélez-Málaga stood out for its renewed tourism offer centered on sustainability and culture.

The City Council of Almería also made its mark at FITUR 2025.  The city presented two new technological products that highlight its rich history and cultural heritage. The innovation in presenting its offer was one of the strong points of the exhibition.

Torremolinos, known for its beaches, continues to evolve as a comprehensive tourist destination. Mayor Margarita del Cid presented an emblematic project. The conversion of Casa María Barrabino into an Interpretation Center on urban regeneration and heritage.

The municipality of Mojácar, meanwhile, highlighted its commitment to sustainability. The Tourism Councilor, María Gracia Alarcón, and the Director of the Tourism Office, Carmen García Campoy, emphasized the focus on the quality and sustainability of the local offer.

In the Balearic Islands, Calvià stood out as an example of sustainable tourism. The island has demonstrated its ability to adapt to market demands, combining tradition and modernity in its proposal. The municipality has also focused on de-seasonalization.

San Javier, in the Region of Murcia, also had a prominent space at FITUR 2025. The municipality presented itself as a complete destination that not only offers beautiful beaches but also cultural events like the San Javier Air Festival. This event is one of the most anticipated in the region.
