BBVA's Surprise Announcement to These Customers: It's Here, Starting This February
BBVA has launched this February an exclusive promotion to encourage financial education among minors
BBVA, one of the most influential banking entities in Spain, has taken a step forward. Over the years, it has developed various strategies to bring banking closer to its customers, offering innovative products tailored to the needs of each segment of the population.
While it is true that financial education is becoming increasingly relevant and BBVA knows it well. Therefore, the Basque entity has decided to enhance its strategy with a new initiative aimed at the younger generation.

The entity has long been committed to programs that promote knowledge about economic management and savings at different stages of life. From advanced digital tools to personalized advice, BBVA has implemented measures so that its customers can improve their relationship with money.
Now, with its latest proposal, it seeks to start this training from childhood. This way, it has decided to provide families with a specific resource for their children to learn to manage their finances responsibly.
Since February 10, BBVA has been offering a special promotion linked to its Online Account for Minors, designed to encourage the habit of saving among children and teenagers. With this initiative, the bank aims for the younger generation to understand the importance of planning their finances and develop skills that will be useful in their adult life.

A BBVA Promotion for Families with Children and Teenagers
This new promotion is available to all BBVA customers and also to those who decide to open an account with the entity. Families with children between 0 and 17 years old can access an exclusive benefit by signing up for an Online Account for Minors. During the first three months after opening, BBVA will double the first monthly deposit that parents or guardians make into the minor's account.
The bank has set a range for this incentive. Only deposits ranging from 5 to 10 euros per month will be doubled. This will allow minors to accumulate up to a maximum of 30 extra euros within the promotional period.
With this strategy, BBVA seeks to motivate children and teenagers to value saving. And to understand that, with consistency, it is possible to achieve financial goals.

How to Access This BBVA Initiative
To participate in the promotion, families only need to open an Online Account for Minors. And enter the promotional code AHORRO30 during the registration process. This fully digital account is designed for minors to start managing their money under the supervision of their legal representatives.
If the father, mother, or guardian is not yet a BBVA customer, they must first open an Online Account Without Fees. This will subsequently allow them to activate the minor's account in the same process. If they are already a customer of the bank, they only need to register the account intended for the minor.
A key aspect of this promotion is that it doesn't impose permanence commitments or penalties. If in any month the guardians can't make the required minimum deposit, the benefits already obtained are not lost. Additionally, they can continue to accumulate in the following months until reaching the limit of 30 euros.
