Escaleto has reappeared on the set of Ni que Fuéramos after more than seven months of absence, his return has been filled with sincerity. Today he decided to share the reason for his absence: he had cancer. A testimony that moved Kiko Matamoros live on air.

Upon entering the set, he hugged his colleagues. The emotion was evident. With a choked voice, he revealed what he has experienced in recent months.

"I wasn't fired, what happened was something simpler and plainer. Something that happens to many people that has six letters: cancer," Escaleto confessed with tears in his eyes.

Those present on the set were silent because his words impacted everyone. "I can say that for now I'm recovered," Escaleto stated with hope.

Additionally, he wanted to share with everyone how he realized he had the disease: "I was showering and saw a lump on a testicle, I didn't think much of it. Days later I realized it was still there, even getting bigger. I never thought it would be cancer."

Escaleto detailed the moment he went to the doctor: "I went to my primary care doctor. He said it needed to be checked. They did an ultrasound and the next day, live on air, I received the ultrasound report and saw it during a commercial break," he explained.

"They had detected a mass suspected of malignancy. When they tell you that, you realize it doesn't look good."

Kiko Matamoros Reveals the Moment He Reunited with Escaleto

After the diagnosis, he faced the disease with courage: "It's tough, but it's not something that gets solved just like that. They operated on me, analyzed the tumor and said it was a cancer with a good prognosis. I went through chemo cycles," he shared.

His testimony moved many, especially Kiko Matamoros. The collaborator expressed his joy for his recovery.

"I'm glad he was able to overcome his circumstances, we've worked together for many years and he has exceptional human quality. I was lucky to meet him and his mother, and honestly, it brought me great joy to see him in person. To know how he was doing and to know he was surrounded by his people," Kiko Matamoros confessed.

Escaleto has shown a positive attitude in this difficult situation: "I've lived it without fear," he said with determination. Now he remains well because his disease has been controlled and he is feeling better. His story has been an example of struggle and hope.
