Prince Harry, Speechless After Learning William and Kate Middleton's Latest Decision
Prince Harry Is Left Speechless After Discovering Kate Middleton's Strict Rules for Her Children
After a year focused on her health, Kate Middleton has returned to public life with official engagements. However, her return hasn't gone unnoticed, especially due to her influence on parenting dynamics within the royal family.
In recent months, the British press has turned its attention to the educational methods that the Princess of Wales and her husband, Prince William, have implemented for their three children: George, Charlotte, and Louis. Some of them haven't left anyone indifferent, not even Prince Harry himself.

The Unusual Rules of William and Kate for Their Children
Kate Middleton and William's Approach to raising their children seems to be much stricter than one might expect for a royal family. Over time, it was revealed that the Princess of Wales and Prince William have ensured that their children live as "normal" a childhood as possible.
This contrasts with the series of rules within their home that have now come to light. Many of them are unusual and have caught the attention of many.
One of the most surprising rules that has recently emerged is the prohibition of using the word "kid" within their home. According to Louise Heren, author of a study that addressed aspects of the royals' family environment, the nanny, María Borrallo, has established this rule firmly.

The three children of the Princes of Wales must never be called "kids," but by their first names. This rule, according to Heren, is designed to treat the young royals with the utmost respect as individuals.
The Nanny, the One Responsible for the Protocol
The figure of María Borrallo, the Spanish nanny who accompanies the royal family, is key in the application of these rules. According to Heren, María ensures that the children not only respect the forbidden vocabulary but also other aspects of the family protocol.
The nanny has been with the Princes of Wales on numerous trips. She is the one who supervises that the family's rules are followed to the letter.

The author also reveals that George, Charlotte, and Louis can't use the word "living room" to refer to the family room. Instead, they must call it "sitting room." This is just one of the words they have banned, in order to keep a certain distance between them and the common customs of the middle class.
Common Words, But Not for the Royals
To the list of prohibited terms in the home of the Princes of Wales, other quite surprising examples are added. The word "tea," so typical in British customs, is not accepted in the vocabulary of the royal children. Instead, they must use the word "dinner."
Similarly, "sofa" is a word that is not spoken in their house, as, according to the protocol, it is a term associated with lower social classes. The little ones must refer to this essential piece of furniture as "settee."

Even more curious is the prohibition of using words like "toilet" or "loo." Instead, the young royals must speak of the "lavatory." This is just a small example of how language and behavior are carefully shaped within the royal family's home.
In addition to these vocabulary rules, other less impactful prohibitions are also part of the day-to-day life of the princes. For example, it is known that George, Charlotte, and Louis can't use words like "posh," "perfume," or even "mummy" and "daddy" in certain contexts.
Although many may find it an exaggeration, these rules are part of a parenting style that seeks to reinforce respect, discipline. Above all, the idea that royal children are more than just "kids," but individuals with their own personality.
