Official Announcement From Banco Santander to These Spaniards: You Can Do It Now, Hurry Up
Banco Santander launches a series of scholarships and grants aimed at students of Universidad de Alcalá
Banco Santander and all its clients are celebrating. The banking entity, one of the leaders in Spain, has announced that it has strengthened its commitment to higher education and research. It has done so with a new agreement with the University of Alcalá (UAH).
This agreement, ratified in January, offers the university community a wide range of scholarships and financial aid with a total investment of 582,000 euros. The goal is to facilitate training, academic mobility and professional development of students, as well as to promote research and entrepreneurship.

Travel and Study Abroad with Mobility Scholarships
For those students who dream of completing their education outside of Spain, Banco Santander has launched international mobility scholarships. There are 35 scholarships of 1,000 euros available for third and fourth-year university students who wish to undertake an Erasmus scholarship. This aid covers part of the expenses of staying in another country and facilitates the academic experience abroad.
Additionally, the program includes 29 scholarships of 1,500 euros for international students who want to spend time at the University of Alcalá. These aids aim to attract talent from abroad and establish UAH as an academic reference at an international level.
Access to university is a challenge for many young people, so Banco Santander has also launched a scholarship program for undergraduate and postgraduate students. There will be 361 scholarships of 1,000 euros granted to finance university studies and help reduce the economic burden on students.

As an incentive for academic excellence, a special scholarship of 12,000 euros will be awarded to the best undergraduate student. This initiative aims to reward the effort and dedication of the most outstanding students of the University of Alcalá.
Research Also Receives a Boost from Banco Santander
Banco Santander's aid program includes a specific line for researchers in training. With 30 predoctoral scholarships of 2,000 euros, the banking entity seeks to support future doctors on their path to scientific excellence.
These aids can be used to cover expenses related to doctoral enrollment, international mobility, thesis publication and other key aspects. The call is open to researchers from the University of Alcalá who want to develop their projects with financial support.

Learning doesn't end at university. For those looking to update and improve their professional profile, Banco Santander has created a scholarship program aimed at people between 18 and 64 years old.
These aids are designed to finance micro-credentials and specialized degrees, provided their cost is equal to or greater than 300 euros. This initiative aims to improve the employability of beneficiaries, allowing them to access quality training to boost their professional careers.
Entrepreneurial talent also has its place in this scholarship call. For those with projects in the initial phase, Banco Santander has created three scholarships of 2,000 euros. These will be allocated to innovative ideas that have not yet been established as startups or are not generating income.

For already established startups, the entity offers three scholarships of 4,000 euros, aimed at companies with a maximum turnover of 300,000 euros. The winning projects in both categories will have the opportunity to compete in the international final, where they can present their ideas to industry experts.
Key Dates to Apply for Scholarships
The calls are already open, but each program has its own application deadlines. International mobility scholarships can be applied for until April 30. Aid for undergraduate and postgraduate studies will be available from April 1 to August 30.
Predoctoral research scholarships can be applied for from June 1 to October 15. For those looking to improve their employability, the bank has established three application periods: from January 15 to April 15, from April 16 to July 1, and from September 1 to November 17.
In the case of entrepreneurship and startup scholarships, interested parties must submit their projects within the deadlines established by Banco Santander, available on its official platform.
