Williams Racing and Carlos Sainz, New Bet Until 2030
The big announcement from Banco Santander for 2025 is its alliance with Williams Racing, one of the most iconic teams in motorsport. Founded in 1977, it boasts an impressive legacy in Formula 1, with seven world drivers' titles and nine constructors' titles in its history. Starting this year, it will feature Spanish driver Carlos Sainz, who finished the last season in an outstanding fifth position.
Although Banco Santander's commitment to Formula 1 goes beyond sponsoring Williams Racing. The entity has renewed its agreement as the official bank of the competition until 2030, which will allow it to be present on the advertising boards of eight Grand Prix each season.
One of the main objectives of the bank with this strategy is to increase its visibility in strategic markets. The United States is one of the priority focuses, especially after Openbank's arrival in the country. With the rise of Formula 1 in the U.S., the entity seeks to leverage the sport's expansion to consolidate its brand in the region.

Last Tuesday, February 18, Banco Santander made its presence felt at the presentation gala of the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship. The F175 event, held in London, brought together the 20 drivers who will compete in the next season. Carlos Sainz and his new teammate at Williams, Thai driver Alex Albon, were seen sporting the bank's sponsorship on their uniforms.
The 2025 Formula 1 season will kick off next March 16 in Australia. With this agreement, Banco Santander reaffirms itself as one of the major players in global motorsport. With its sponsorship of Williams Racing and its role as the official bank of the competition, the entity ensures its presence in one of the most followed and media-covered sports on the planet.
Banco Santander, More Than 15 Years Linked to Formula 1
Banco Santander's relationship with Formula 1 is not new. The entity began its adventure in this sport in 2007 when it became a sponsor of McLaren. Later, in 2010, it sealed an alliance with Ferrari that extended until 2017 and resumed in 2022.

Over these years, the bank has been present in top-tier teams. In fact, it has sponsored great drivers like Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz, and Lewis Hamilton.
In addition to supporting teams and drivers, the entity has sponsored Grand Prix in strategic markets such as Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. Thus, its presence in Formula 1 has been a key tool for strengthening its brand internationally.
