Urgent Warning From Roberto Brasero to These 8 Areas: Rain and Showers This Afternoon
During the hours we've had today, it has already been raining, but it will rain in more areas from early afternoon.
The most significant rainfall of the day is yet to come. Although the day started with rain in the northwest of the country, it will intensify in the coming hours. It will also extend to more regions in the western half of the Peninsula.
Roberto Brasero has warned that the front that entered Galicia this morning will continue its advance toward the south and east, bringing more widespread rain to several communities.

Roberto Brasero Points Out the Areas Most Affected by the Rain
Galicia remains the epicenter of the rainfall, with heavy rain being felt more strongly in the west of the community. During the afternoon, the strongest showers could occur in this area, with significant accumulations in short periods of time.
As the afternoon progresses, Roberto Brasero insists that the instability will move. It will reach Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León and Extremadura, where the rain will begin to be more frequent and persistent.
In the last hours of the day, the front will reach the west of Castilla-La Mancha, the Community of Madrid and some areas in the west of Andalucía. This, says Roberto Brasero, will mark the end of a day in which the rain will have progressively gained prominence.

In the Mediterranean slope, Roberto Brasero assures that Friday will remain without significant rainfall. However, this doesn't mean that the weather will be stable. Fog and low clouds are expected, especially in inland areas, which will create a gray day in many areas.
The Wind, Another Factor to Consider
In addition to the rain, Roberto Brasero states that the wind will play an important role in this weather episode. In the coming hours, gusts will increase in intensity, especially in the northwestern peninsula and in the mountains of the northern third.

This change in wind direction will be noticeable. Roberto Brasero assures that it will start blowing from the south, but as the front advances it will turn to the west. In Galicia and the mountainous areas of the north, strong or very strong gusts are expected, which could create adverse conditions in some exposed areas.
What Will Happen in the Early Hours of Friday to Saturday
The front will not stop on Friday. During the early hours of Saturday, it will continue its movement until it reaches the Mediterranean area. Rain is expected to reach Cataluña and the Balearic Islands, where it could be more persistent throughout Saturday.
In these communities, the weather situation will be more unstable during the day, with overcast skies and continuous rainfall. It will not reach the intensity of the rain that will have affected the western peninsula.
