The secret Movistar kept hidden: customers are starting to understand many things

Movistar leaves more than a few people speechless after the advantages offered through its second brand become known.

Movistar is one of the most important operators in the Spanish market. But what many don't know is that its low-cost brand, O2, has an advantage that has been hidden until now. It's related to browsing speed.

In fact, this detail has gone unnoticed by many users. However, over time they have been able to see how they experienced a significant improvement.

Movistar Trusts Its Second Brand

O2 is Movistar's second brand, designed to offer more economical rates with a simple and straightforward proposal. However, what few know is that when users reach the data limit contracted in O2's plans, they still have access to the internet. Of course, with a reduced speed.

Until some time ago, this speed was limited to just 64 Kbps. This made it difficult to perform basic tasks like browsing web pages or sending messages.

However, a little over a year ago, it made an important change in its policy. Meanwhile, the reduced speed increased to 128 Kbps.

What many didn't know is that recently, O2 has taken another step and tripled this speed without much fanfare. Now, when O2 users consume all the contracted data, their speed isn't limited to 128 Kbps. It will rise to a surprising 384 Kbps.

This change, although not prominently announced, represents a considerable improvement. Mainly for those users who have contracts with fewer available gigabytes.

Far from Movistar

While the speed of 384 Kbps is much higher than the initial 64 Kbps and the previous 128 Kbps, it is still far from the 2 Mbps of Movistar. This latter company offers this speed in its traditional plans once the data is exhausted. Even so, for many O2 users, this improvement is great news, as it makes browsing much smoother and more comfortable.

The advantage that O2 provides with this change is not only relevant for those who consume little data. It's also for those who prefer to keep their plan simple and economical without losing the ability to browse at a reasonable speed after exhausting the gigabytes. This improvement has a direct impact on the user experience, allowing them to continue enjoying the internet more comfortably.

Movistar's low-cost brand has never stood out for offering unlimited plans. In fact, none of its options allow browsing at maximum speed once the contracted data is exhausted. But this increase in reduced speed offers a notable improvement compared to what was previously offered.

Users who don't consume large amounts of data can now rest easy. They know that even when the gigabytes run out, they will be able to continue browsing at a much more adequate speed.
