Initially, the prices are really attractive. With discounts ranging between 30% and 40% compared to the company's usual prices.

This has led many users to think it was a very beneficial offer. And indeed it is, but only during the first year.

The surprise came when Movistar announced that this offer would not be permanent, something very few customers expected. Although the initial prices are quite low, the promotion will only last twelve months. That is, once that period is over, users will have to start paying the full price set by the operator at that time.

This can mean a considerable increase in the monthly bill. For example, if you contract the fiber with 300 Mbps, the current price is 19.90 euros per month. But in a year, this price will rise to 34 euros monthly.

In the case of fiber with 600 Mbps, the initial price is 24.90 euros. After 12 months, you will have to pay 38 euros per month. And finally, the fiber with 1 Gbps has a price of 29.90 euros per month and will increase to 48 euros monthly.

Is This Fiber Offer Worth It?

Despite the price change potentially causing uncertainty, the offer still has several positive aspects. On one hand, Movistar doesn't require permanence. This means that if you decide the promotion no longer suits you at the end of the first year, you can switch operators without penalties.

Additionally, the plan includes a landline with 50 minutes for calls to national mobiles, as well as unlimited calls to landline numbers. This can be quite useful for those who still rely on a landline for communication.

Another advantage is the connection speed. The three available plans offer fiber speeds that exceed the needs of most households. Whether for browsing, working from home, watching series, or online gaming, these speeds are more than sufficient to ensure a good experience.
