BBVA's Message for the Most Forgetful Customers: You'll Have It Sooner Than Expected

The banking entity reminds users that it's possible to recover the card PIN through various means.

BBVA has issued an important message for all its customers who may have forgotten their card PIN. If you've ever found yourself in that uncomfortable situation, don't get nervous. The bank has an easy and quick solution for you.

It's important for you to know how to recover or check your BBVA card PIN. Whether through the app, the website, or even by going to a bank branch. This last option might interest you if you're not comfortable with new technologies.

How to Check the PIN from the BBVA App or Website?

If you're a user of the BBVA mobile app, the process to check your card PIN is very simple. You just need to follow a few steps.

Open the BBVA app, access your account, and choose the card for which you want to know the PIN. Within your card options, select the 'Show More' option, where you'll see an icon with three dots. Then, click on 'Check PIN.'

To ensure security, you'll be asked to enter the confirmation code you'll receive by SMS on your validated mobile phone. Once you complete these steps, the system will show you your PIN for 10 seconds. It's important to take it quickly, as the time is limited.

If you prefer to check it from the bank's website, it's also very simple. First, go to the BBVA website and log in to your account.

Choose the card for which you want to check the PIN and within the options, select 'I Want.' Then, choose 'Check PIN.' Again, you'll need to enter the confirmation code sent to your validated mobile phone by SMS.

Just like in the app, by following these steps, your PIN will appear on the screen for 40 seconds.

Check the PIN at the BBVA Branch

If for some reason you can't check your PIN from the app or the website, don't worry. BBVA also offers you the option to go to a bank branch to obtain it in person.

At the counter, you must present yourself with the debit or credit card for which you want to check the PIN, as well as an identification document. Once these documents are submitted, the branch staff will provide you with a one-time use code. This code will allow you to go to a BBVA ATM and change your card's PIN.
