Mercedes Payá, New General Director of Atos for Spain and Portugal

Atos announces the appointment of Mercedes Payá as General Manager for Spain and Portugal. This appointment comes at a strategic moment marked by the unification of Atos and Eviden as part of an ambitious transformation process, where the company's leadership in the digital technologies and innovative services market is consolidated.

With more than 30 years in the technology sector, the new General Manager has extensive experience in strategy, organizational transformation and business development. Before this role, she led Eviden (Atos Group) in Spain and Portugal. Additionally, she brings a multifaceted career that combines strategic knowledge, commercial skills and organizational transformation capability.

An economist by training from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and specialized in Change Management at Babson College, Massachusetts, she has held various roles of responsibility both at Siemens and Atos, including the management of key sectors such as Health, Defense, Transportation and Public Sector. During the last decade, she has been a key piece in the development of new business opportunities and in the consolidation of strategic relationships in the Spanish market.

With this appointment, Atos reaffirms its commitment to the region, promoting a model based on technological innovation, sustainability and adaptation to a constantly evolving environment. In this new structure, the Eviden brand remains the benchmark in Mission Critical Systems hardware and software products, Cybersecurity and Advanced Computing, ensuring continuity and specialization in these strategic areas.

Mercedes Payá will lead this new stage in Spain and Portugal, focusing on the digital transformation of organizations through advanced solutions in cloud, supercomputing and cybersecurity, consolidating Atos as a strategic partner of reference in the region.
