Maximum Euphoria at Caixabank, Bbva and Banco Santander: It'll Be Sooner Than Expected
Banks are advancing the payment of the Minimum Vital Income this March
Thousands of beneficiaries of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) are in luck. March has just begun and many are already wondering when the payment will be made this month. Well, many banks have decided to move forward a few days from the official date.
This move generates great anticipation among IMV recipients, who will see the money reflected in their accounts days earlier than usual. As every year, the benefit has been revalued, and in 2025 a 9% increase will be applied, which represents a significant increase in the amount beneficiaries will receive.

Banco Santander, CaixaBank and BBVA Move Forward IMV Payment
Generally, Social Security pays the IMV at the end of the month. That is, the payment corresponding to March should be made between April 1 and 4. However, this date is not fixed for all banks, as some entities have chosen to advance the benefit to their customers.
For the month of March, three of the main banking entities in Spain have decided to advance the IMV payment. A measure that will allow their customers to have the money several days in advance. Banco Santander will be one of the banks that moves forward the most, making the deposit on March 23.
Meanwhile, CaixaBank will do it just one day later, on March 24. BBVA, on the other hand, will make the payment on March 25, allowing its customers to access the benefit before the official date.

This advance is excellent news for IMV beneficiaries who operate with Banco Santander, CaixaBank and BBVA. They will be able to have the money in their accounts before the start of the next month of April.
What About the Rest of the Banks?
Other entities, such as Unicaja, ING, Banco Sabadell or Bankinter, have also confirmed that they will advance the payment. In the case of Bankinter, in fact, it will be the first entity of all to make the payment. It will do so even before Banco Santander, on March 22.
ING will do it on the same date as BBVA, on March 25 and, one day later, it will be Abanca's turn. Meanwhile, Unicaja and Cajamar will follow the Social Security calendar. Both entities will wait until April to make the payment; in the case of Unicaja, it will be on the 1st, while Cajamar will do it on the 3rd.
