Mario Picazo Warns These 6 Communities for the Whole Week: It Won't Stop Raining
Week of rain in Spain: Experts warn about persistent rainfall in several regions
Atmospheric instability will mark the beginning of the first week of March in Spain. Experts agree that the country is facing a rain episode that, although spread across much of the territory, will be especially intense and persistent in some regions.
The combination of cold air at high altitudes with the entry of humid air from the Mediterranean is favoring the formation of a storm. This will drive precipitation over the coming days.

Mario Picazo Warns of What's Coming
Meteorologist Mario Picazo has issued a warning about this rain episode, cautioning that some communities will receive significant water accumulations. Not just on a specific day, but throughout the entire week.
According to prediction models, an isolated depression at high levels (DANA) will descend from the northeast. It will enter through the northern peninsula and advance toward Portugal. This pocket of cold air at high altitudes, combined with surface humidity, will be the trigger for atmospheric instability.
Mario Picazo highlights that, although the trajectory of the DANA could vary in the coming days, its interaction with the humid air from the Mediterranean will contribute to keeping clouds and rain active in many parts of the country. During the weekend, precipitation has already been recorded in several regions. Everything indicates that this pattern will continue affecting Spain until Friday.

Communities at Higher Risk: Mario Picazo Points Them Out
The most significant rains will be recorded in the south and east of the peninsula, as well as in the Canary Islands. Mario Picazo warns that between Monday and Friday, precipitation will recurrently reach six communities: Andalusia, Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, the Community of Madrid, the Valencian Community, and the Region of Murcia.
These areas are expected to accumulate a notable amount of water, which could cause some incidents if the rains fall intensely in short periods of time.
Additionally, the Canary Islands will also see significant rains. In the Balearic Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla, precipitation will be more intermittent but equally notable at certain times of the week. In the northern peninsula, Mario Picazo states, although the rains won't be as persistent, there could be occasional precipitation in Galicia and the Cantabrian communities.

A Rain Episode with Uncertain Evolution
The behavior of this DANA remains a subject of analysis by experts, as its movement will depend on the air masses surrounding it. In these types of situations, small variations in its trajectory can alter the distribution of precipitation in the territory.
Meteorologists emphasize the importance of following updates from models and weather warnings. Persistent rains can lead to significant water accumulations in some areas.
