Meanwhile, Juan Roig, businessman and president of Mercadona, ranks fifth in the Spanish ranking. His fortune has experienced a notable increase in the last year, rising from 5.100 billion euros in 2024 to 5.841 billion in 2025.

This remarkable growth places the magnate as one of the most prominent figures in the distribution sector of our country. Meanwhile, Hortensia Herrero also holds a prominent place in this prestigious list.

While Juan Roig ranks as the fifth richest person in our country, his wife, Hortensia Herrero, is not far behind. According to the aforementioned magazine, she also holds a very relevant place in its famous list.

As vice president of Mercadona, Juan Roig's wife also appears among the ten largest fortunes in Spain. With an estimated wealth of 3.337 billion euros, she ranks eighth in the national ranking, a position she shares with María del Pino, heir to the Ferrovial group.

However, the couple are not the only ones in their family to appear in this ranking, although in a much lower position than Hortensia Herrero and her husband.

Fernando Roig, president of Villarreal CF and the Pamesa group, is located in the 18th position of the national ranking, with an estimated wealth of 1.660 billion euros.
