From hitting rock bottom to revolutionizing competitive exams: Ian Garzón creates an innovative method
From overcoming addictions and hitting rock bottom to passing one of the toughest competitive exams and creating 'Metodotest,' an innovative method.
Ian Garzón, a Malagueño from Marbella, has gone from hitting rock bottom in his youth to becoming a firefighter after passing one of the most demanding competitive exams in Spain. Now, he applies his experience as a programr, psychologist, and exam candidate to help others achieve their goals with an innovative system that is revolutionizing test preparation.
In his youth, Ian lived a period marked by addictions that brought him to a breaking point. "I didn't want to keep living like that, I knew I had to change," he confesses. After overcoming that stage, he trained as a computer programr, but soon felt that his life lacked purpose. It was then that he met a firefighter who talked to him about his job, and that conversation marked a turning point.
At 30 years old, Ian decided to take the firefighter exam, one of the toughest competitive exams in Spain. He applied programming principles to his studies, developing a unique system that allowed him to excel in multiple-choice exams and pass on the first try with one of the best scores.
But Ian didn't stop there. Once he became a firefighter, he decided to study psychology, using the same techniques. "I wanted to understand myself better and, above all, help others," he states.
One of Ian's greatest contributions to the world of competitive exams is his innovative study system, which he has named "Metodotest." This method combines his knowledge as a programr, psychologist, and exam candidate to offer a completely new way of approaching multiple-choice exams.
One of the keys to "Metodotest" is its revolutionary highlighting system, designed specifically for this type of test. Based on color association, this approach breaks with the traditional color hierarchy system, which, according to Ian, presents numerous problems. "The hierarchical system disconnects the candidate from the real meaning of the text. In the end, the colors become chaos and don't help retain information," he explains.
Instead, "Metodotest" uses colors strategically to associate key concepts and facilitate memorization. "It's not about highlighting by levels of importance, but about creating visual connections that allow information to be remembered more effectively," Ian details.
Today, Ian Garzón is much more than a coach. He is a mentor, a guide, and a source of inspiration for those striving to achieve their goals. Through his personal brand on Instagram, @iangarzon.es, where he already has more than 6000 followers, and his website, www.metodotest.es, you can learn more about his story and his innovative project.
For Ian, his work is not just a profession, but a mission. "I feel a deep vocation for what I do. I want exam candidates to know that, even though the path is tough, it's possible. If I could get out of where I was and get to where I am now, they can do it too," he assures.
Ian Garzón's story is a reminder that, even in the darkest moments, there is always an opportunity to change.
