The fideuà of Gandia, culinary attraction at Fitur and Madrid Fusión 2025

Gandia's star dish, whose international competition celebrates its 50th edition this year, is featured in three showcookings at Fitur 2025 and Madrid Fusión.

The fideuà from Gandia dazzled at Fitur 2025 and Madrid Fusión, becoming the star dish of both fairs. Three showcookings at these international fairs, led by chefs José Manuel Navarro, Avelino Alfaro, and Amadeo Faus, captured the attention of the attending public's palate.

Gandia took advantage of these events to promote its historic dish, whose international competition celebrates its 50th edition this year. At Fitur 2025, the official presentation of the commemorative poster took place, created by the renowned artist Toni Durà. The design recalls the birth of the fideuà aboard the boat Santa Isabel.

The International Fideuà Competition of Gandia marks half a century in 2025, establishing itself as an essential event in the international gastronomic calendar. Since its inception, this competition has been a platform to project Gandia's culinary identity and keep the tradition of its most iconic recipe alive.

The 2025 edition will feature new developments. For the first time, the competition will be held in the late afternoon and evening on June 5, followed by the Tasta Gandia gastronomic fair, which will take place from June 6 to 8 at the Moll dels Borja.

Additionally, two semifinals will be held outside Gandia: one in Mieres (Asturias) and another in Osaka (Japan). For this edition, a commemorative book is also being published, which will compile the history of the 50 years of the competition.

The aromas and flavors of the city's flagship dish have confirmed the appeal of this dish, which continues to be a key ambassador of Gandia's gastronomic culture.

Madrid Fusión 2025
After the success at Fitur, the fideuà from Gandia continued its journey at Madrid Fusión 2025, the international gastronomic congress held in the capital of Spain.

Chef Amadeo Faus conducted a showcooking of fideuà from Gandia, where the importance of fresh and local products as essential bases for achieving a quality dish was also highlighted.
