Prince William of Wales says enough and talks to Kate Middleton: it can't happen again

William and Kate Middleton face a new concern in Windsor, as a recent incident forces them to take action

The lives of members of the British royal family are marked by tradition and the fulfillment of official duties, but also by the constant gaze of the public. Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have tried to keep a relatively quiet life in their family home.

However, in recent days, something has disrupted the calm surrounding their residence. An unexpected event has caused great concern. It makes clear that, as public figures with millions of followers, they are more vulnerable than people think.

William and Kate: the intruder who bypassed security

On June 1, something disrupted the calm of William and Kate Middleton's home. A man, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, entered a restricted area of the castle near Adelaide Cottage, where the Prince and Princess of Wales reside. The intruder climbed a perimeter wall, but was quickly detained by Metropolitan Police officers.

The individual was arrested on "suspicion of trespassing on a protected site and possession of class A drugs." Authorities are still investigating the incident, although the man was released on bail. Thames Valley Police, responsible for the outer perimeter, indicated that the man didn't enter the castle or the family residence.

Concern over royal security

The incident has sparked a debate about the effectiveness of security at Windsor Castle. Although the man didn't get close to the family, the fact that they were at home has raised the level of alarm. A witness mentioned that the man broke in near the City Gate and his presence unsettled everyone.

This isn't the first security problem the royal family has faced. In October 2024, a robbery occurred at the same property while the Prince and Princess were sleeping, and in April, unauthorized drones were detected flying over Sandringham.

In a recent report, the Fixed Threat Assessment Center revealed that nearly 500 people have been identified as possible stalkers of the Crown. Of these, 35 are considered high risk, which reinforces the urgent need to improve security. This incident, described by the media as a "serious security failure," has exposed the vulnerabilities of the protection system.
