'Later Today...': Mario Picazo Says What's Coming and Will Also Affect Saturday
It will be a fairly stable Friday throughout Spain, but a front may surprise some areas in the coming hours.
This Friday, atmospheric stability and the predominance of good weather will mark the day in most of Spain. However, this doesn't mean that all regions will enjoy a completely clear sky. In some areas, it will still be necessary to be alert to possible rain.
Meteorologist Mario Picazo has warned about the arrival of a new storm from the Atlantic, which, although located to the west of the peninsula, won't bring a major storm. As it advances, the fronts that may affect us over the weekend will arrive weakened, leaving light rain in some specific areas, such as Galicia and the Canary Islands.

Stable Friday, But Changes on the Horizon
Throughout Friday, the weather situation will be calm in most of the country, assures Mario Picazo. A predominance of clear or variably cloudy skies is expected, especially in the northern half. In the Atlantic slope, some more compact clouds may appear, although without significant rain during the day.
In the Mediterranean, the sun will be the protagonist, with pleasant daytime temperatures. However, in the extreme northwest of the peninsula and in the Canary Islands, the situation will begin to change as the day progresses. Mario Picazo warns that a front derived from the Atlantic storm "will arrive between late Friday and Saturday."

Where Will It Rain This Weekend? Mario Picazo Clarifies
This first front that will reach Spain will affect few areas, but it will leave rain in them over the weekend.
Canary Islands
The westernmost islands of the archipelago, such as La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro, will be the most affected on Saturday morning. Rain is expected that may be locally intense and persistent, although it won't reach the alert level. In Tenerife and Gran Canaria, the rain will be more scattered, but isolated showers are not ruled out.
Galicia
On Saturday afternoon and evening, rain will reach Galicia, especially in the province of A Coruña and areas near the coast. In Portugal, the front will also bring rain to the north of the country.

Center and East of the Peninsula
By Sunday, the rain will be more isolated and could appear in some parts of the center and east of the peninsula. No significant water accumulation is expected. In cities like Madrid, Valladolid, or Zaragoza, the sky will be cloudy, but with little chance of significant precipitation.
Although no major storms or excessive rain are expected, it is advisable to stay alert to the weather's evolution in these areas. Don't be too confident if you live in any of the mentioned regions. A handy umbrella is never too much!
