Charles III finds out about his brother and it's not good news: there's no turning back
An unexpected revelation shakes the royal family and completely changes the course of a relationship that seemed clear
Sarah Ferguson, former wife of Prince Andrew and sister-in-law of Charles III, has shown that some bonds can survive despite difficulties. Neither the passage of time nor legal decisions have managed to separate Sarah and Andrew. Their story seems to keep being written together, even though they signed their divorce in 1996.
What began as a great love story turned into a resilient friendship. The British press has once again dug into that connection that seems stronger outside of marriage. Now, some statements from Fergie have brought back the real reason that separated them.

A fairy tale with cracks from the beginning
The wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, held on July 23, 1986, was one of the most dazzling royal events. It took place at Westminster Abbey, with more than 2,000 guests and celebrities; everything seemed perfect. From Sarah's lace dress to the Navy dress uniform worn by Andrew.

But beneath that fairy tale image, the reality was very different. According to what Ferguson recalled in a 2010 interview, during the marriage she saw her husband just "40 days a year." Her phrase, highlighted by Express, sums up what the press has defined as "a brutal and difficult reality."
Andrew was absorbed by his military duties. He served as a helicopter pilot in the Falklands War and then continued his career in the Navy, eventually commanding HMS Cottesmore. A total commitment to his vocation that kept him away from his family life.

From emotional distance to present coexistence
The lack of time together ended up deteriorating their relationship and their marriage, bringing it to an end. However, what came next surprised everyone; far from breaking ties and drifting apart completely, the couple strengthened their friendship. To this day, they share vacation periods and, surprisingly, also a residence at Royal Lodge, where Ferguson is Andrew's main support.
Their story, which began in childhood and was rekindled at Royal Ascot in 1985, keeps defying royal protocols. The prince proposed to her just a year later, coinciding with her 26th birthday. But beyond the fleeting happiness, what remains is an unbreakable bond.

Sarah Ferguson has preferred to stay out of the scandals surrounding her ex-husband, including his connection with Jeffrey Epstein. Her loyalty has never changed, and that's exactly what, according to Daily Mail, Charles III has just accepted. There will be no turning back in the relationship between them, no matter that the story had an official ending.
