Charles III's inner circle confirms the rumors: this isn't good breaking news
Concern rises over King Charles III's health just as he receives a visit from the President of France
The United Kingdom remains a point of reference on the international stage, with the royal family playing a central role in diplomatic relations. King Charles III has shown himself to be a figure capable of facing any challenge, always committed to his royal responsibilities. This time, Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte were the ones who made a state visit to the United Kingdom.
The visit of the president of France and his wife marks a key moment in Franco-British relations. The commitments, according to protocol, took place with apparent normality. However, something about Charles III's face caught attention and set off all the alarms.

Charles III faces a new health problem
Charles III welcomed Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, but something in the king's appearance drew attention. His right eye was visibly red, raising concern about his health. Buckingham Palace rushed to reassure the public, offering details about the incident.
According to official statements, the king suffered the rupture of a small blood vessel in his eye, which caused a subconjunctival hemorrhage. The statement clarified that the subconjunctival hemorrhage, although bothersome, doesn't affect vision nor does it require treatment, so the king could continue with his activities. This type of condition, although noticeable to the eye, doesn't carry serious risks and usually disappears on its own in a couple of weeks.

The king, with his usual strength, didn't allow this incident to affect protocol. Despite the initial alarm caused by the appearance of the king's eye, he continued with his activities as planned. In addition, it was clarified that the condition isn't related to the treatment Charles III has been following since his cancer diagnosis in early 2024.
A monarch committed to his role
Despite the minor health setback, Charles III continued his role as host during the official visit. Alongside Queen Camilla, he welcomed the Macrons with all the solemnity and protocol expected at an event of such magnitude.
Even when the image of his red eye became a topic of conversation, the king continued participating without setbacks. The monarch was in the midst of a solemn procession to Windsor Castle.

Sources close to Buckingham Palace emphasize the strength with which the monarch faces his health situation. A royal aide, in previous statements, highlighted: "What one learns about this disease is that you simply control it, and that's what he does." This way, King Charles III continues to show his unwavering dedication, with his health not preventing him from fulfilling his responsibilities.
