Allyz Cyber Protects Users Against 14% Increase in Cybercrime Reports

Allianz Partners addresses the rise of cyber threats with services like identity protection

Digitalization is a great ally when it comes to simplifying people's lives but it also presents risks that can compromise their security and should be known. According to the latest Crime Report in Spain from the Ministry of the Interior, more than 90% of complaints related to cybercrime are for computer fraud, especially phishing scams[1]. The increase in digital technologies, teleworking or increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks are some of the reasons that explain the rise in cybercrime which, according to the Allianz Group's risk barometer, is for the third consecutive year the number one threat to companies worldwide. The insurance sector continues to advance in its commitment to offer customers prevention and protection solutions that meet their specific needs. Allianz Partners, as a leader in insurance and assistance, has launched allyz Cyber, a platform that integrates prevention services, digital assistance and insurance to protect people from emerging threats. In 2024, both companies and individuals increased their claims for cyber risks to insurers by 14%; and it is estimated that by 2028, market spending on protection against these risks will have grown by 69.94%. As a solution to these evidences, allyz Cyber offers functionalities such as parental control, online identity protection or antivirus, data recovery insurance, and expert guidance and assistance. Cristina Rosado, Head of the Mobile Devices and Digital Risk (MDDR) line at Allianz Partners, points out: "The continuous evolution of the digital landscape leads us to face risks that sometimes we don't even know. Victims of cybercrimes face economic and emotional damages that at Allianz Partners we want to alleviate; that's why we stay at the forefront with solutions like allyz Cyber, which protect our customers and allow them to have control of their digital life".[1]Phishing is a deceptive social engineering technique in which strikers pose as a trusted entity to trick people into revealing confidential information.
