Allianz Partners joins the Asociación Española de Renting de Vehículos
The leading assistance company is betting on new mobility models and takes another step toward the rental sector
Leasing continues to gain popularity among drivers, with a market share in Spain of 27.67% according to the 2024 year-end data from the Spanish Vehicle Leasing Association (AER). This preference is also observed through the number of registrations, which is 13.38% higher than the figure from the previous year.
This new vehicle ownership model represents a paradigm shift that affects all sectors related to automobiles, including insurance through roadside assistance. This is why Allianz Partners, a leading assistance company, has joined the AER with the aim of strengthening its commitment to the modernization of mobility.
The agreement was finalized after a meeting in which Borja Díaz, CEO of Allianz Partners Spain and Managing Director of Iberia, and José-Martín Castro Acebes, President of the Spanish Vehicle Leasing Association, shared their perspectives on the present and future of leasing in Spain. Both organizations are committed to a sustainable approach in their activities, aware of the speed at which the mobility environment is advancing and the need for consensus among all involved sectors to ensure that customer needs are met.
Borja Díaz points out: "In the assistance sector, we must align with the demands of drivers, who are increasingly opting for modern vehicles with integrated technologies that ensure their safety behind the wheel. At Allianz Partners, we are committed to new mobility models through collaborations like the one we are initiating with the Spanish Vehicle Leasing Association, which are so aligned with our values and priorities in terms of sustainability, safety, and digitalization."
Meanwhile, José-Martín Castro Acebes has emphasized that "the incorporation of Allianz Partners Spain as a collaborating member of the AER enriches the ecosystem of the vehicle leasing sector with its service vocation where it is most needed, such as when, suddenly, the driver's mobility is interrupted. And, moreover, it does so by bringing innovative technological solutions in which it has embedded its expertise. A true example of what digitalization with a customer experience vision is."
