Located in the idyllic landscape of Alto Ampurdán, the estate that Macarena and Aldo call home is an architectural gem with centuries of history. It is a 17th-century mill that the couple has renovated while respecting its original essence. "Except for some interior renovations, the main house has been kept as it was," the actress explained to ¡Hola!.

This corner is not only a refuge for the family but also for a wide variety of animals. As they revealed, they live with three alpacas, a llama, a pig, four horses, two dogs, chickens, ducks, peacocks, and rabbits.

Initially, the estate was their weekend getaway. However, the pandemic marked a turning point in their lifestyle. Then, the couple considered that the best thing for Dante's education, their son, was to grow up surrounded by nature.

"We discovered that the quality of life a child can have growing up in the countryside, walking barefoot, playing with animals, and going to a rural school, far exceeds what big cities offer," they confessed to the magazine.

Contrary to what many might think, the couple doesn't feel that their life in the countryside is more monotonous. Both have acknowledged that they have found the perfect refuge, where they can "have outdoor meals" or "go to the village terrace." However, for work reasons, Macarena Gómez has to spend part of the week in Madrid, but she always returns to her rural paradise.

Macarena Gómez and Aldo Comas have found in this farm their perfect refuge, a place where history, nature, and tranquility merge. The 17th-century estate has not only given them peace but also the opportunity to fulfill their dream of raising their son in a privileged environment. Could this be the secret to their stability and happiness as a couple?
