Starbucks is bringing back: the drink that won over the US returns to its popular menu

Starbucks surprises its customers this summer with a highly anticipated new item on its United States menu

Coffee and sweet drink lovers have one more reason to head to their nearest Starbucks this summer. While many are already preparing their pumpkins and fall flavors, the chain has decided to squeeze out every last sip of the summer season. The company is committed to keep offering refreshing and surprising options.

Since yesterday, July 29, one of the most beloved ingredients is back on Starbucks's menu: raspberry syrup. After two years off the shelves, this syrup returns for a limited time along with a new drink, the Raspberry Cream Cold Brew. In addition, it can be added to a wide variety of customized combinations, from iced teas to frappuccinos.

The desired return of the most beloved syrup

It was in 2023 when Starbucks decided to remove raspberry syrup, sparking a wave of complaints on social media. "This can't be true, I want that syrup more than anything," a user posted on Reddit upon hearing the news. Since then, the chain received numerous requests from customers asking for its return.

During the Leadership Experience event held in June, Starbucks hinted that the flavor would return soon. Finally, the brand has confirmed that it will be available in all United States locations starting at the end of July. The syrup can be added to both hot and cold drinks, but there will be an extra charge of €0.80 for each addition, reveals All Recipes.

Although the star of the moment is the new Raspberry Cream Cold Brew, the syrup's versatility will allow it to be used in iced green teas, hot chocolates, or even in the Summer-Berry Refresher. There will also be a cold foam infused with raspberry, perfect for topping cold coffees and iced teas. Starbucks hasn't specified how long this flavor will remain on the menu, although everything suggests it will disappear at the end of August.

A drink with a taste of nostalgia

The new drink, Raspberry Cream Cold Brew, combines slow-brewed cold coffee with raspberry syrup and a smooth foam of the same flavor. This offering aims to attract both nostalgic customers and those who've never tried this fruity blend. It's an ideal option for those who prefer cool drinks but with a sweet, fruity touch.

In addition to its refreshing taste, the return of the syrup also brings back a part of Starbucks's creative spirit. For years, customers created their own blends by adding this raspberry touch to drinks like the White Chocolate Mocha. Its return once again opens the door to unique and personal combinations.

Those who want to try it should hurry: the syrup and the new Cold Brew will only be available for a limited time. Once fall arrives, along with the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) on August 26, this flavor will disappear from Starbucks again. Until then, raspberry will reign in the cups and glasses of those looking for something different this summer.
