Everything started when the company began randomly offering a gift card through their app. In theory, this reward would be to thank their users for their loyalty. Or in some cases, as an incentive for those who were considering switching to another carrier.

However, what seemed like an excellent loyalty strategy ended up backfiring on Verizon. According to testimonies shared by dozens of users, when they try to redeem the Amazon gift card, it simply disappears. In some cases, the app shows a countdown, but when it ends, the offer isn't available or the app crashes.

At other times, a simple error message appears and the card no longer shows up in the menus. This situation has left many empty-handed and with the feeling that they've been deceived.

Verizon's move that nobody likes

The complaints haven't taken long to multiply. Many customers feel that the company doesn't deliver on what they promise. They wonder how it's possible that such a repeated failure hasn't been fixed.
