Burger King makes the most anticipated announcement and knocks out Five Guys
Burger King and Five Guys star in a new episode in the battle to conquer the burger market
Burger King is back in the headlines with a move that has left many in the United States speechless. The well-known burger chain has decided to take a step forward in the midst of the promotion season. It has done so with an initiative that has surprised both for its content and the timing chosen.
This weekend, on the occasion of Mother's Day, Burger King has launched an offer that has left its competitors behind. For just a few hours, it will give away burgers to those who meet a few simple requirements. A proposal that has undoubtedly eclipsed other giants like Five Guys or McDonald's.

A gift for mothers... and not just for them
Today, Sunday, May 11, customers of Burger King will be able to get a free Whopper burger. To access the promotion, simply purchase a King Jr meal, which ranges between 4 and 6 euros (4.5 and 6.8 USD), depending on the location. In return, users will receive a Whopper at no additional cost.
The most curious thing about this promotion is that you don't have to be a mother to benefit. Anyone who follows the steps can enjoy the gift, as long as they are a member of the Royal Perks program. The promotion will be active from 10:30 in the morning at participating locations.
The order must be placed through the official Burger King app or website. When doing so, the user must add a special code available in their Royal Perks account. Only one free burger is allowed per account, making the promotion exclusive yet accessible.

The burger war intensifies
This action adds to other recent ones with which Burger King has faced its rivals. A few days ago, they surprised by partnering with Walmart+ to give away a whole week of sandwiches to their members. Each day, users could get a Croissan'wich or a Whopper Jr by making a minimum purchase of one dollar.
To redeem the offers, it was necessary to have an active Royal Perks account and link it with the Walmart+ service. A one-hour wait between each redemption was also required. Although limited, the promotion was a success among the brand's most loyal customers.

Burger King is positioning itself as the most aggressive chain in terms of promotions. With initiatives designed for digital users and offers aimed at broad audiences, the company seems to have understood the keys to the current market well. This time, it has also managed to take advantage of a significant date to gain an edge.
With actions like this, it not only gains new customers but also strengthens its relationship with current ones. In an era where loyalty is key, Burger King gets ahead with proposals that combine savings, technology, and a sense of timing. For a few hours, at least, Five Guys has been out of the spotlight.
