Goodbye Excuses: AT&T dares everything and leaves Verizon on the edge of the precipice

AT&T presents itself as the operator with the most economical rates when compared to the other major companies

In a market as competitive as mobile telephony, rates make the difference. When it comes to low prices and comprehensive services, AT&T is showing that it is not afraid to take risks. With more affordable plans and a reliable network, the company is emerging as one of the most attractive options for those seeking good connectivity without emptying their pockets.

Meanwhile, Verizon, its eternal rival, is beginning to be exposed for its higher prices.

AT&T Bets Big on More Accessible Rates

One of AT&T's major advantages is its ability to offer plans that fit more people's budgets. Among the country's major operators, it has one of the lowest prices for a line with unlimited data.

Although its main trio of unlimited plans ranges from $66 to $86 per month for a single line, there is an even more economical alternative. It is the Value Plus VL plan, which costs only $51 per month.

This plan doesn't have all the benefits of the more expensive ones, and internet speed may be reduced if the network is very congested. But the important thing is that it still provides unlimited data and access to a solid network. Something not all companies can guarantee for that price.

Previously, the Value Plus plan was only available for a single line, but now it can also be contracted in a group. AT&T has started offering discounts when adding more lines, especially starting from the third. Thus, families can save even more and enjoy an economical plan without losing coverage or unlimited data.

However, finding this option requires a bit of searching. The Value Plus plan is not immediately visible on their website. To find it, you have to enter the mobile plans section and click on the 'More Plans' tab.

For those looking for even more savings, AT&T also offers a very competitive prepaid option. For a one-time initial payment of $300, you can have unlimited data for an entire year. Each month, you will have access to 16 GB of high-speed data, and then you will remain connected, albeit at a lower speed.

This amounts to only $25 per month, a rate even lower than what Mint Mobile offers.

Verizon Unable to Keep Up

While Verizon continues to bet on plans with higher prices, AT&T has decided to take the opposite path. It relies on lower rates, more options, and a user-focused approach that wants quality without overpaying. The strategy is working, and little by little the gap is becoming more evident.

If Verizon doesn't react soon, it could lose ground to AT&T. It is increasingly determined to capture the largest share of the market.
