The other invoices that corner the former socialist mayor of La Carolina
Supposedly, these are other invoices that join the one indicated in the alleged pool table case.
The former socialist mayor of La Carolina continues to make headlines. EDATV has traveled to Jaén to speak with the mayor, Cristóbal Pérez Martínez. The popular party member has reported a case that supposedly corners the former mayor from the PSOE, Yolanda Reche.
It was a scandal involving alleged false billing that has implicated the former socialist mayor and several of her closest collaborators. Supposedly, it all began when the grandparents at the local pensioners' home informed the current mayor about a pool table. A table that the former mayor had promised them but never arrived at its destination despite being paid for.
The complaint filed with the Court of First Instance and Instruction number two of La Carolina revealed something unheard of. More specifically, that the invoice for the pool table supposedly acquired by the town hall lacked a CIF. This made its verification difficult, as the invoice amounts to 3241.60 euros.
Upon contacting the business indicated on the invoice, they denied having issued such a document, assuring that they hadn't provided any service or received any payment for a pool table. The investigation discovered that the invoice was fake, which triggered a series of accusations against the former mayor and her closest circle.
That's why Reche's trusted person was pointed out for allegedly committing several crimes. More specifically, two: forgery of a public document and embezzlement of public funds.

However, upon investigation, it has been concluded that, supposedly, there could be other invoices. Supposedly, these are several invoices from hotels and a company of apartments near Fitur. According to the mayor, supposedly linked to the successive trips this team had made to the tourism fair.
That's why, taking this into account and what was mentioned about the pool table case, "we would be talking about an alleged modus operandi," the mayor explained to this outlet.
"We do the work of gathering this information and passing it on to the justice system," the mayor explained. "It must be the police who decide whether these are criminal acts or not."
In addition to this, the popular party member also points out other alleged invoices. In this case, and allegedly, even international ones, referring to the international fair in Berlin.
These are supposed invoices written in Spanish, something that, as he explains, is impossible since being in Berlin, they should be written in the native language of the place: in German. Undoubtedly, something that draws attention, but always respecting the presumption of innocence, as Pérez Martínez stated.
"It's my responsibility as mayor to look after the interests of the citizens," he explained.
