Sánchez's Brother's Strategy to Keep Getting Paid by Legislature De Badajoz

David Sánchez requested leave shortly after appearing before the judge, citing health issues.

David Sánchez, brother of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, despite not attending his position, continues to receive his salary as an employee of the institution.

This fact has caused controversy, as he is under judicial investigation for alleged irregularities in his hiring. Judge Beatriz Biedma, from the Investigative Court Number 3 of Badajoz, continues to investigate how the position he holds was created.

David Sánchez requested leave shortly after appearing before the judge, citing health problems. However, his absence has reinforced suspicions about his employment relationship with the Legislature de Badajoz and the usefulness of the position he held.

Before his leave became public, Pedro Sánchez's brother resigned from his position as head of the Performing Arts Office. However, this resignation did not imply his definitive departure, as he remains linked to the Legislature and continues to receive his salary.

His statement before the judge revealed his lack of knowledge about the functions of the Performing Arts Office. When questioned by the magistrate, David Sánchez could not clearly explain what his job entailed or the exact location where he was supposed to perform it.

The first complaints of absenteeism emerged within the Bonifacio Gil Superior Conservatory of Music in Badajoz, where he had an office. Colleagues claimed that he rarely showed up for work and was more often found in nearby cafes.

The investigation also extends to Miguel Ángel Gallardo, president of the Legislature de Badajoz and leader of the PSOE in Extremadura. It is suspected that the position occupied by David Sánchez was created to guarantee him a permanent job.

The initial complaint was filed by the union Manos Limpias, alleging a possible crime of prevarication in the granting of the job. The judge has considered that there is sufficient evidence to proceed with the case's instruction.

Additionally, the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard has requested information from the Legislature de Badajoz. They seek to clarify the hiring process of David Sánchez and whether there was favoritism in his appointment.

These Are the High-Ranking Officials Defending Sánchez's Brother's Innocence

Sánchez's brother remains in the spotlight. Let's remember that David Sánchez left the prominent position he held in the Legislature de Badajoz as Head of the Performing Arts Office. This was a decision he made "unilaterally" in the midst of the investigation surrounding him.

An investigation for alleged crimes against the Public Administration and the Public Treasury, including prevarication, influence peddling, and embezzlement, which is being investigated by Beatriz Biedma.

After the news of his departure, many defended the musician's work. This despite the fact that even the judge sees alleged irregularities in the case.

First, the president of the Legislature, Miguel Ángel Gallardo, stands out, attributing this situation to a "persecution" for being the president's brother. It should be noted that he said all this while Gallardo himself is under investigation for his alleged involvement in the appointment of Sánchez, supposedly handpicked.

Ricardo Cabezas, Deputy of Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Legislature, has supported David Sánchez's management at the head of the Young Opera project. More specifically, he has assured that this "will continue forward."

Cabezas expressed his regret over the fact that, according to him, Sánchez has been a victim of a "pack of fascists." This, according to him, simply for "having the last name he has."

Also noteworthy are the statements of Pilar Alegría, Minister of Education and Government spokesperson. After the complaint became known, the socialist was clear: "They are persecuting him." In her view, for the sole crime of being a relative of the President of the Government.
