PSOE and Hypocrisy with Bullfighting: Silent Bullfighting Supporters and Ideological Imposition

Carmen Calvo has stated that in the PSOE there are "many bullfighting people," but many don't acknowledge it for fear of political correctness. The president of the Council of State has pointed out that the debate on bullfighting is being approached from imposition and not from freedom.

Calvo, a declared fan of bullfighting, has assured that if bullfighting disappears, it should be due to evolution and not imposed prohibitions. "Bullfighting will end or not. But it shouldn't be due to an ideological decision that doesn't respect history or culture," she stated on Onda Cero.

The former vice president has criticized the climate of cowardice in the PSOE, where many bullfighting enthusiasts prefer to remain silent to avoid political reprisals.

"Ideological imposition has led many to hide their bullfighting passion, something unthinkable years ago in the party," Calvo denounced. She recalled that the PSOE has had a bullfighting tradition, but now many socialists bow to the pressure of radical left sectors.

Bullfighting, more than a spectacle, is part of Spanish identity, but the left has made its prohibition an ideological banner. The left's strategy is clear: to end bullfighting, not by consensus, but through imposition, restricting rights and freedoms.

The PSOE has gone from defending bullfighting culture to hiding its position to avoid discomforting its radical partners and avoiding internal conflicts. "Freedom, life, and death are the essential themes that surround bullfighting and mobilize human existence," she stated. The hypocrisy in the PSOE is evident: on one hand, silent bullfighting enthusiasts; on the other, the ideological imposition of a sector that despises tradition.

The debate on bullfighting shouldn't revolve around ideological prohibitions. But in respect for culture and freedom of choice. The PSOE still hasn't clearly positioned itself on bullfighting, trying to appease its partners while betraying its own history and voters.

If bullfighting disappears, let it be due to natural evolution and not the imposition of a left that despises everything that doesn't fit into its ideology.
