Mazón Announces the Opening of the Application Period for Senate Aid to Entities Affected by Floods

The president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has announced that from this Thursday, associations and community entities affected by the recent floods will be able to apply for aid aimed at recovering their infrastructures and reactivating their activities. This aid has a provision of 13.6 million euros from the Senate's surplus fund and will be granted with a "quick and bureaucracy-free" procedure.

Mazón made this announcement after meeting with the president of the Senate, Pedro Rollán, to whom he expressed gratitude for his collaboration in the reconstruction of the affected areas. "Thanks to this contribution, we can grant aid to associations and entities that play an essential role in our society," he stated.

The aid is structured in two modalities: the 'Repair Axis,' aimed at the rehabilitation of infrastructures and equipment with a maximum of 20,000 euros, and the 'Reactivation Axis,' which finances the execution of activities with a limit of 13,000 euros. Both lines are compatible, with a total cap of 20,000 euros per entity.

The president emphasized that the application process will be online and straightforward, with a support service available to solve doubts. Additionally, he highlighted that the aid will be granted in order of submission until the budget is exhausted and will be paid in advance, without beneficiaries having to advance the money.

Mazón stressed the importance of recovering the associative fabric as soon as possible, as "these entities are essential to the social and cultural life of our municipalities." He also recalled that the Generalitat has enabled other lines of aid for the Third Social Sector.

Finally, the president thanked the Senate for its support from the first moment of the catastrophe, highlighting the rapid institutional reply to the devastating consequences of the floods.
