This Monday, Donald Trump will return to the White House after an inauguration that marks a historic shift in the presidential traditions of the United States. The ceremony, which for the first time in decades will be held inside the Capitol due to wingere cold, will feature the presence of world leaders. After the religious service, around 9:45 a.m. (14:45 GMT), Trump and Melania will head to the White House to share the traditional tea and coffee with the outgoing president, Joe Biden. Who has been joined by the first lady, Jill Biden, as a symbolic gesture of peaceful transition.

Both couples will travel together in the same vehicle to the Capitol. Where Trump will take the oath of office at noon in a ceremony that promises to be a high-profile event.

Promises of Immediate Changes

In his pre-inauguration speech, Trump stated that he will take swift and decisive action to address what he considers urgent crises facing the country. He promised that the "invasion" at the United States borders will end before the end of Monday. "When the sun sets, the invasion of our borders will have stopped, and all illegal intruders will be back home," he assured during a rally in Washington.

The president also anticipated that his first 100 days in office will be of "historic action," committed to resolving with "unprecedented speed and strength" the challenges facing the country. Trump's return to the presidency points to an energetic start filled with expectations for both his supporters and critics.
