The Harsh Response of Fundación Disenso to Faes After Their Accusations Against Vox
Disenso Foundation responds to FAES and accuses PP of lack of clarity on Russia
The Disenso Foundation, chaired by Santiago Abascal, has published a statement on its blog in response to FAES's criticisms, the foundation linked to the Partido Popular. FAES accused VOX yesterday of aligning with what it called "the fifth column of the Putin Club," pointing to alleged connections with positions favorable to the Russian president.
In its response, Disenso denies these accusations and argues that it is FAES that must clarify its stance on Russia, recalling that its president, José María Aznar, has expressed his admiration for Vladimir Putin on several occasions, even after the illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014. The foundation close to VOX criticizes that FAES has stopped focusing on political thought to dedicate itself to the “fable and the lie,” using these arguments as a strategy to attack its formation.

The statement also points out what it considers contradictions within PP and FAES, criticizing their collaboration with Bildu in Brussels to obtain commissions and vice presidencies, as well as their attitude toward agreements with separatist parties in Spain. According to Disenso, these positions have led FAES to a "moral anomie", characterized by silence toward terrorist groups while attacking those who seek to restore order in Europe and Latin America.
In this regard, Disenso accuses Aznar of maintaining an ideological relationship not only with Putin, but also with leftist leaders like Lula da Silva and Gustavo Petro, whom it describes as figures with links to the São Paulo Forum and policies that have caused instability in their respective countries.
Moreover, the text questions the concept of "patriotism" that PP defends, recalling that it has made agreements with separatist parties and with the political heirs of ETA, as well as its agreement with the Chinese Communist Party since 2013, urging the populares to make its content public. It also denounces measures promoted or supported by PP, such as the transfer of properties to PNV or support for regulations that, according to VOX, put private property at risk in Spain.

Finally, the Disenso Foundation highlights that VOX always maintains its commitments to voters, unlike Partido Popular, which it accuses of adopting a changing stance according to political circumstances, comparing it to the attitude of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez.
Disenso is a think tank aligned with VOX's principles, focused on defending values such as national sovereignty, freedom, family, and the rule of law. Under the direction of Jorge M. Frías, the foundation engages in analysis, training, and research, in addition to collaborating with international organizations aligned with its ideology.
