Castellón City Council Partners With Big Twin España on Its 40th Anniversary

The major motorcycle gathering once again has municipal support to attract tourists from all over the world.

The Mayor of Castellón, Begoña Carrasco, along with the Deputy Mayor of Grao, Ester Giner, and the Councilor for Tourism, Arantxa Miralles, has welcomed the president of the Big Twin España association, Jorge Ortiz, and the organizers of the motorcycle rally that this year celebrates its 40th anniversary. The event, which will take place from September 11 to 14 in Grao, is established as one of the most important international events for the city.

"This rally is much more than a motorcycle event; it's a unique opportunity for tourists from all over the world to discover our beaches, rich gastronomy, inland routes, and everything good that Grao and Castellón offer," highlighted Begoña Carrasco. The mayor has reaffirmed the City Council's commitment to the organization to ensure a successful edition, coinciding with its 40th anniversary.

The previous edition managed to gather more than a thousand motorcyclists from different parts of Europe, in addition to national participants, positioning Grao as an international tourist destination. This year, the celebration of the 40th anniversary expects to exceed expectations, consolidating Castellón as a reference for Harley Davidson enthusiasts.

"The participation of all these people directly benefits our local economy, filling restaurants, hotels, and shops, especially in September, a key month for our commitment to tourism desensitization," noted the first councilor.

The Big Twin España rally has become an essential event for two-wheel enthusiasts, not only because of the spectacular motorcycles that gather but also because of the atmosphere of camaraderie and the activities organized over the four days. The program includes motorcycle routes, exhibitions, and concerts, creating a unique experience for residents and visitors.

"We continue working for Castellón to have activity throughout the year and events like this are essential to achieving it," concluded Begoña Carrasco. The City Council thus reaffirms its commitment to tourism promotion and the economic boost of the city through international reference events.
