The advertising agency chosen by Igualdad to squander millions and its reviews

On January 27th, Ana Redondo's cabinet formalized this contract

Ana Redondo already has a new expense in the Equality portfolio. It will be four million euros in advertising campaigns, at least, until 2028. The contract was formalized by Ana Redondo on January 27, and it was awarded to the company Ogilvy & Mather Publicidad Madrid.

Surprisingly, the agency secured the contract ahead of eight prominent agencies. However, some companies appealed the decision. Ogilvy, the highest-rated bidder, had to justify its low offer.

The truth is that some of the reviews about this company leave much to be desired.

"I suffered mobbing or workplace harassment in this company, by colleagues and a boss. Specifically, at Ogilvy Interactive. Very, very bad atmosphere.

And a lot of machismo. Because I and another colleague reported our case to the superiors, but nobody did ANYTHING.

And we were kicked out and farewell. That boss is still working there and has risen to the top."

This is one of the comments about the company. But it's not the only one. After their collaboration on other occasions with the Ministry headed by Ana Redondo, some users have also commented:

"I hope your performance in advertising is creative. But really the advertising you've done for the government of Spain and the Ministry of Equality. It's in bad taste and doesn't speak at any time about women's equality.

Moreover, they air it during child protection hours more than once. You might as well dedicate yourselves to the pornographic industry: you're great at it."

There are even those who don't recommend companies collaborate with them:

"We don't recommend it at all. Lack of professionalism and little commitment. They seek a budget so you can offer them what they need.

Then it's meetings, calls, a lot of information so you do the intermediary work for them. And then they handle it themselves.

In short, if you're a company and they seek you out to give them a budget for another client, don't work with Ogilvy, quite a lack of seriousness.

You'll waste your time and money."

Reviews that clash with the Ministry of Equality's intentions.

Ogilvy, an old acquaintance of the Ministry

Ogilvy, a regular in Equality's advertising creation, secured the contract for the next two years. With the possibility of extension with an offer of 1,986,379 euros, 354,000 less than the base bidding budget. The name of their campaign will be, according to the documentation, "Do I want or do I have?"

The four agencies that achieved the best automatic rating were Sra. Rushmore, Ogilvy, Llorente y Cuenca, and Estimado José Alfredo, the last two with reckless bids.
