The Royal House has confirmed news that has filled monarchy followers with joy: Doña Letizia traveled to Panama next weekend. She did so to reunite with her daughter, Princess Leonor. The heir to the throne is there in a new stage of her military training.
Leonor arrived in Panama aboard the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano. The vessel made a stop in this Central American country as part of its journey through America.

According to a brief statement from Zarzuela, the queen took advantage of this stop to visit her eldest daughter. She did so just as "other mothers, fathers, relatives, or close friends" of the midshipmen have done.
Queen Letizia Will Visit Princess Leonor in Panama
It will be a non-official trip. It will have no official or institutional content and will be strictly a family visit.
Queen Letizia wants to personally experience that desired reunion with Princess Leonor. The Juan Sebastián Elcano will dock in Panama this Saturday and will remain there until Tuesday.

Doña Letizia's presence has surprised many. Although the visit was not publicly announced, the Royal House confirmed it naturally. The queen wants to be by her daughter's side at this special moment.
Princess Leonor is currently in her second year of military training, which includes onboard practices on this legendary Spanish Navy ship.
Queen Letizia Will Spend a Few Hours with Princess Leonor as Reported by Zarzuela
The itinerary of the Juan Sebastián Elcano has already included several stops in America, first arriving in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. Then it stopped in Montevideo, where the well-known photos of Leonor in a bikini were taken. On April 17, the ship reached the Peruvian coast, docked at the port of El Callao in Lima, and on April 22, it set sail for Panama.

After its stop in Panama, the ship will continue its journey and visit Cartagena de Indias and Santa Marta in Colombia. Then it will make a stop in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and finally arrive in New York, United States. From there, it will begin its return to Spain, with Princess Leonor expected to return in July.
With this visit, Queen Letizia has once again shown her closeness and dedication as a mother. Princess Leonor, meanwhile, has continued to accumulate unique experiences in her training as a future head of state.
