The Councilor for Tourism of the Zamora City Council, Christoph Strieder, participated in a workshop at the Meliá Castilla Hotel in Madrid, where thirty tourism companies, travel agencies, and tour operators specializing in MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) gathered. Strieder presented Zamora's offer as a destination for professional events, highlighting the hotel infrastructure and unique meeting spaces.

Víctor López de la Parte, First Vice President and Deputy of Education, Culture, Tourism, Emigration, and Artistic Heritage, highlighted that "Zamora positions itself as an outstanding option for those seeking innovative and sustainable tourist experiences. The city hopes to attract more visitors and consolidate its reputation as a top-tier tourist destination."

Javier Faúndez, president of the Zamora Provincial Council, added that "Zamora's proximity to Madrid by train makes this city an attractive destination for both leisure and professional tourism. Zamora offers a varied range that includes historical heritage, unique natural spaces, and outstanding gastronomy."

Zamora has been officially recognized as a smart tourist destination, receiving the certificate from the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosario Sánchez Grau, and the president of Segittur (State Company for the Management of Innovation and Tourism Technologies), Enrique Martínez. This recognition is due to the excellent results in innovation and sustainability, surpassing the average of the participating cities.
