Urgent Statement About Princess Leonor and Her Life in Elcano: 'Delicate Moment'

A Last-Minute Update Emerges About Princess Leonor and Her Journey with the Training Ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano

Having passed the halfway point of her training aboard the training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano, an urgent statement has been issued about Princess Leonor and her life on said vessel. "Delicate moment," several international media outlets claim.

After her time in Chile, and if there are no setbacks, it is expected that the future queen of Spain and the rest of her companions will arrive in Peru on April 18.

"Princess Leonor is already en route to Callao and will arrive this Good Friday," reported the Peruvian magazine Cosas. Additionally, this media outlet has published the latest official images.

In them, the daughter of Felipe VI and Doña Letizia can be seen fully integrated into the demanding routine of the ship. Some images have been released just before her arrival in Peru, where she is expected to stay until April 22.

After this visit, the training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano will continue its course to Panama. However, although its stop in Peru has caused great expectation, the visit of the future queen and the rest of the crew coincides with a "very delicate moment."

The training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano will dock in Peru at an especially tense time, as both Lima and Callao are under a state of emergency. A measure that, as has been revealed, the government has decided to extend for 30 more days.

This precautionary measure was initially imposed on March 18, all due to the murder of singer Paul Flores. Everything indicates that the increasing violence in these cities led the authorities to take action.

According to several Peruvian media outlets, the state of emergency affects the areas where the crew of the ship on which Princess Leonor is sailing will circulate. The arrival of the Elcano is expected to take place at the country's main port.

However, according to the aforementioned magazine, "not everything is prohibited." For example, the rule doesn't prevent the holding of shows or social events, which is why a normal visit is expected, albeit under reinforced security measures.

The objective of this stop is also to strengthen the ties between Spain and Peru. Therefore, during this cruise, Princess Leonor and the rest of her companions are engaging in all kinds of activities and visits to emblematic places in each of the cities.

Although the restrictions do not directly affect the crew of the Elcano, precautions will be heightened to ensure their safety. So much so that some of their movements could be limited, and a special device to protect the princess is not ruled out.
