Unofficial notice from the royal house about Princess Leonor: it's decided and there's a date
The royal family could reunite publicly after ten months without joint events, and there is already a set date and place
An unofficial notice from Casa Real has raised alarms in monarchist circles: Princess Leonor could publicly reunite with the entire royal family. According to sources close to the organization, the decision has already been made and a date has been set: it will be on July 23, during the Princess of Girona Foundation awards ceremony. Expectations are high, since there hasn't been a photo of King Felipe and Queen Letizia with their daughters, Leonor and Sofía, for ten months.
Everything suggests that this desired reappearance will take place at the Liceu theater, one of the most iconic venues in Barcelona. The event not only marks the heiress's return to the institutional spotlight after her military training, but also symbolizes the union of a family that has been forcibly separated. Will this be the major media reunion so many are waiting for?

The last photo of the entire royal family dates back to almost a year ago
The last time the four main members of the royal family attended an official event together was in September 2024, in Asturias. The occasion was the Princess of Asturias awards ceremony. This is a traditional event designed to bring Felipe, Letizia, Leonor, and Sofía together in an image of institutional unity.
Since then, each of the king and queen's daughters has followed her own path. Leonor has been immersed in her military training at the General Academy of Zaragoza, which ended with a long five-month (5 months) journey aboard the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano. Meanwhile, Infanta Sofía has discreetly continued her international baccalaureate in Wales, where she remains focused on her studies.

The physical distance has prevented the sisters from appearing together in public for almost a year. This situation has increased social curiosity to see them again alongside their parents, in a scene that combines institutional solemnity with the family closeness that citizens so appreciate.
Casa Real issues an unofficial notice about Princess Leonor's return to the public stage
Princess Leonor's schedule for this July is full of symbolism and meaning. According to the official plan, on July 14 she will receive the Medal of Galicia in Santiago de Compostela. That same day, a distinction is also planned by the Marín City Council, the town in Pontevedra where the Juan Sebastián Elcano will dock.
Three days later, on July 16, an event of great importance will take place. Leonor will receive her commission as a midshipwoman at the Marín Naval School, from King Felipe. Queen Letizia is expected to be present, although Sofía's attendance hasn't been confirmed yet, which casts doubt on whether a family photo will be possible.

The real turning point will come on July 23 in Barcelona. The Princess of Girona Foundation has already announced on its official website that, barring last-minute changes, the king and queen and their two daughters will attend the Liceu theater together. If it happens, that simultaneous presence will be the first family photo in almost a year.
The royal family's vacation in Mallorca will bring them together again
July will be a key month for the institutional visibility of Casa Real, but August won't be far behind. As every summer, the king and queen, their daughters, and Queen Emerita Sofía are expected to travel to Palma de Mallorca to enjoy a few days of vacation. Although Zarzuela hasn't confirmed the exact dates of their stay, it is expected to begin on August 3.
The Balearic island not only represents a break for the royal family, but also an opportunity to show closeness with citizens. Images of Leonor and Sofía walking with their parents through Palma's historic center or posing at Marivent Palace are common at this time of year.

Indeed, summer will not only be a time of reunions for Leonor, but also of transition. At the end of August, the heiress to the throne will enter the Air Academy of San Javier, in Murcia, to complete her military training. This new stage marks the third and final year of a period that began in Zaragoza, continued at the Marín Naval School, and will end in the air.
Casa Real has made its move and there is already a date for the public reunion of Felipe, Letizia, Leonor, and Sofía. It will be on July 23, in Barcelona, at an event that promises to generate enormous media interest. Everything suggests that this summer will mark a turning point in the institutional visibility of Princess Leonor.
