Javier Bardem is currently promoting his latest movie, F1, in which he worked with Brad Pitt. For this reason, he was invited to the famous American show The View.

On the show, he spoke about the film, but also about his personal life. However, the interview soon took an unexpected turn.

When the topic shifted to his activist side, the Spanish actor did not hold back. He spoke firmly about Gaza: "The situation in Gaza has reached such a point that I can't express the pain that I and so many people suffer daily watching those horrible images of children being killed and dying of hunger. The blockade of food, water, and medical supplies, of children being amputated without anesthesia."

He added: "International law experts, organizations like Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch, and Holocaust survivors are calling it genocide, and if you ask me, I believe it's genocide." Furthermore, he criticized Israel for the impunity they have to commit those atrocities. He also emphasized the support they are receiving at all levels from the United States.

It was at that moment, when, to everyone's surprise, music started playing on the show announcing a commercial break. Javier was quick and wanted to take advantage before the commercials started to state: "The most important thing is that we don't lose our humanity. That we report when we have to report."

That was the last thing he said, as the commercials started. When the show returned after those, Penélope Cruz's husband was no longer on set.
