Tension at Buckingham Palace after Prince William's decision about his future
William's most recent gesture draws a clear line and creates uncertainty about the royal family's future
William, heir to the throne of the United Kingdom, has lived his entire life under public and media scrutiny, just like his brother Harry. However, it hasn't always been for the same reasons. William, from a very young age, took on his role as heir to the Crown and his institutional duties; meanwhile, his younger brother chose to be freer and ended up distancing himself from royalty.
Today, the distance between William and his brother is no longer just geographical. The decisions each has made reflect their stances. Amid that contrast, the heir's decisions are making it clear there's no turning back.

William and a path of no return, according to royal experts
Robert Jobson, an expert on the Royal Family, was blunt in his analysis of the situation. "I think it's too late," he stated on the program Royal Exclusive. The distance between father and son, and especially between brothers, seems irreparable.
According to Jobson, the public also isn't on the side of the Duke of Sussex. A poll revealed that 73% don't want a reconciliation. Many remember that it was he who "monetized his story" through his book Spare.
Rhiannon Mills, editor at Sky News, agrees with the assessment. She points out that Harry not only distanced himself, but also publicly exposed the entire family. "He threw them under the bus," she stated bluntly.

Trips, memories, and gestures that no longer move people
Harry traveled again to Angola in July, trying to follow in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana. He visited minefields and collaborated with the Halo Trust organization. It was a symbolic gesture that, at another time, would've caused empathy.
This time, he didn't achieve the desired impact. "It no longer has the same appeal," Jobson explained, highlighting the contrast with his previous appearances. The context has changed, and so has public perception.
In addition, the expert recalled that Diana never monetized her version. Meanwhile, Harry "made a fortune from it," he said firmly. That difference is key in how each of the prince's gestures is judged today.

The meetings in London that fuel rumors, but not hope
There was recent talk of a secret summit between Sussex advisors and King Charles's office. This attempt at rapprochement was very discreet, even though it was still captured by the press. However, William's team didn't participate in the meeting.
That absence wasn't accidental: "I don't see William and Camilla forgiving," Jobson commented. The king's eldest son keeps a hard line that reinforces the tense atmosphere at Buckingham, meanwhile, Harry says he wants "to get his father and brother back." Nevertheless, William's most recent decisions point in another direction.
