The royal family is very excited: Princess Leonor knows it and there's already a photo

A very special gift that the eldest daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia has received has now come to light

The Royal Family are very excited and grateful for the numerous displays of affection that Princess Leonor constantly receives. Now there is one that has powerfully caught their attention. It is a gift that she has already received, that she has already seen, and of which there are images.

Specifically, a sculptor has made a bust for her. It is not just any bust; it is a very special one.

The royal family are moved by this gift to Princess Leonor

During her last visit to Asturias, as part of the Princess of Asturias Awards, Leonor was surprised with a unique gift. An Armenian sculptor, Sargis Yesayan, wanted to pay tribute to her by creating a bust of her likeness. It is not just any sculpture; it is a work crafted with delicacy, full of symbolism and historical connection.

The artist has shared with Vanitatis the reason for his decision. As he explained, his inspiration arose from a little-known historical fact: "There is a story that connects the kings of Spain with the kings of Armenia. In the 14th century, King Juan I of Castile rescued the Armenian king Leon V from the Muslims and named him Lord of Madrid."

This event, far from being anecdotal, deeply marked the sculptor. He stated, "That makes Madrid, in a way, the capital of Armenia before it was the capital of Spain." It was this historical parallel that led him to research more about the Spanish monarchy, especially about the figure of the heir to the throne.

On a family visit to Asturias, he decided to make a bust for Princess Leonor. It was a project that took about a month to complete.

The bust reflects a serene and dignified image of the eldest daughter of the kings. It doesn't seek idealization, but rather to represent her as she is, with strength and sensitivity. Finally, thanks to a contact at the hotel where she stayed during her last visit to Oviedo, the sculpture reached her hands.

A gesture that strengthens the ties between citizens and Princess Leonor

The reception of the bust did not go unnoticed at the Royal Household. Both Princess Leonor and the royal family surely showed gratitude and excitement for the gesture. It is yet another sign of the affection that the young heir inspires among citizens of all ages and nationalities.

This type of gift, like the one Sargis Yesayan has given, is part of a public list that the Royal Household shares every year. In fact, this week, coinciding with the publication of the official accounts, that list of gifts received by the kings and their daughters has been released.

Among them, this bust stands out for its symbolism, its origin, and the story that accompanies it. It is not a protocol or institutional gift. It is the result of a personal story, sincere admiration, and an unexpected cultural connection.

Moreover, its value lies not only in the art or the effort, but in the way it sums up a clear message: Leonor inspires. She inspires young and old, Spaniards and foreigners. That is something the royal family deeply values.

At a time when the princess is preparing to take on more public responsibilities and represent the Crown at different events, gestures like this strengthen her image. Not only as a future queen, but as a close, human figure capable of generating real affection.
