After completing six months of training on the Juan Sebastián de Elcano ship, Princess Leonor faces a week full of commitments. The first will be in Barcelona, with the presentation of the Princess of Girona Awards. At that event, she'll be accompanied by the King and Queen and her sister.
While preparing speeches and uniforms, Leonor is focusing on what's coming. The event will be held at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, where she'll take center stage. It's a moment that reflects the great responsibility she already carries on her shoulders.
Official commitments and family confessions
On Wednesday, the day will begin with a meeting between the royal family, the board members, and the awardees of this edition. Then, King Felipe will chair a meeting with the foundation's board of trustees. It will be an intense day that will end with the ceremony at the theater.
On Thursday, the two sisters will visit Sant Martí Vell accompanied by young people connected to the foundation. Later, their parents will join them for a meeting with the youth advisory council. The day will end with a lunch with awardees from previous editions.
Last days together before the new challenge
Over the weekend, the four members of the royal family will travel to Mallorca. There, they'll combine rest with institutional events, such as the traditional reception for Balearic society on August 4. It'll be the first time Leonor and Sofía attend together.
It hasn't been confirmed whether Leonor will take part in the Copa del Rey Mapfre; she has several options, including a women's military sailboat. Although everything suggests that her attention is focused on what begins on September 1. On that day, she'll enter the Air and Space Academy in San Javier, a decisive step in her training as a future queen.
