Movistar has brought bad news for some of its customers, especially those who belong to its second brand, O2. Many of them might have been excited about the possibility of accessing an offer that would allow them to save a significant amount of money.
However, the company has confirmed that it will not be possible to enjoy this promotion. It prevents these users from benefiting from the annual subscription to its Movistar Plus+ television service at a reduced price.
Movistar Plus+ Offers an Attractive Deal, but with Restrictions
One of the most striking offers from Movistar is the possibility of accessing its Movistar Plus+ television platform for 99.90 euros per year. This represents a discount of two months compared to the usual price of 9.99 euros per month. This rate is available to any user, even those who are not Movistar customers.

However, the surprise comes when we focus on O2 customers. They have the option to contract a combined package that includes 1 GB of fiber, 350 GB of mobile data, and the Movistar Plus+ television service. All of this for 50 euros per month.
This offer is quite attractive for those looking for a comprehensive and affordable telecommunications service. However, some have wondered if they could also benefit from an additional discount if they choose to pay for the Movistar Plus+ service annually. This would allow them, for example, to save a few euros on their bill if they contract the annual rate for 99.90 euros per year.
Movistar's Reply
After receiving several inquiries, Movistar has confirmed that O2 customers will not be able to benefit from the annual payment option for Movistar Plus+. According to the company, the billing cycles in O2 are monthly, from the 18th of one month to the 17th of the following month.
This means that the bills are issued on a monthly basis, which prevents users from making a one-time annual payment as is possible with other Movistar services.

Additionally, Movistar has explained that O2 customers who want to enjoy Movistar Plus+ will still be subject to the standard monthly rates, with no possibility of accessing an additional discount for paying in advance.

O2 customers will not be able to benefit from an annual payment with a discount. However, they do have the possibility of enjoying Movistar Plus+ through their combined fiber and mobile package. Additionally, those who are not O2 customers can also contract Movistar Plus+ separately with other operators, if they wish.
Therefore, if you are a user of the low-cost brand and are interested in Movistar Plus+, you will have to adhere to the monthly payment conditions. Despite not being able to benefit from an annual payment, the option of having everything in one package remains quite attractive.
