But what exactly did Mario Marzo say about the legendary presenter? What has it meant for him to share the set with her? And, moreover, how has his experience been on Bake Off?

Mario Marzo didn't hold back on praise for Paula Vázquez, assuring that her talent goes far beyond what is seen on screen. “She is great. It's unbelievable the ability she has to be on top of everything and, on top of that, be empathetic,” he commented with admiration.

The actor highlighted the pressure the presenter has in her job, as she must adhere to the times set by production without losing closeness with the contestants. “She has a job that is not easy at all because they set the times for her and she has to organize herself,” he explained.

Additionally, he revealed that one of the aspects that impressed him the most is her ability to deal with different personalities within the program. “She has to deal with 14 people, egos, and pasts. She is capable of interviewing everyone in the best way and asking the best questions,” he highlighted.

The actor, who is also passionate about the podcast world, has assured that he has learned a lot from Paula Vázquez and that she has served as an inspiration for his own work. “I've learned a lot from her for my podcast or when I have to do interviews or go back to TV,” he confessed.

However, this admiration for the presenter is not new, as Mario has grown up watching her on television. “Seeing her on TV is great, but being with her has been unbelievable. I've felt very supported,” he added.

One of the actor's most surprising confessions has been the great influence Paula had on one of his biggest dreams: participating in Supervivientes. “The dream of my life has been to go to Supervivientes. My whole life has been about going there, since the first time I saw Paula Vázquez,” he acknowledged.

However, he commented that his enthusiasm for the idea has diminished after hearing the experiences of former contestants. “I've talked to Víctor and Yurena and they told me it was one of the most terrible experiences of their lives,” he assured.

Mario Marzo's experience on Bake Off

Beyond his admiration for Paula Vázquez, Mario Marzo also talked about his personal experience on Bake Off. For him, facing baking has been a real challenge.

“I come from a profession that demands maximum responsibility and a perfection that can never be achieved, like the piano. And entering a world where I have no idea, is difficult,” he acknowledged.

The environment on the show has also been an additional challenge for him. “Being on TV and surrounded by people who know a lot, know jokes, dynamics, who do it very well... That has made me feel insecure,” he admitted. However, despite the difficulties, he has found great friends in the experience.

One of the colleagues who surprised him the most was the pilot Pol Espargaró. “I've fallen in love with him. I thought he had his head on his shoulders, but I've seen that he is a professional from head to toe and, on top of that, in something that is not his field,” he explained.

Not all encounters have been equally close, as when asked if there was someone he found difficult to connect with, he was honest. “The person I had the least contact with was Cósima. Even though she was the first to be eliminated, I never talked to her about anything, and we didn't connect at all,” he admitted.

He also admitted that there were times when he needed to distance himself from Nagore Robles. “She has a lot of personality and while filming many times I've felt, not overwhelmed, but I compared myself a lot because I don't know how to do that kind of TV,” he commented.

Mario Marzo has experienced Bake Off as an experience full of challenges, but also of learning. His admiration for Paula Vázquez has been more than clear, highlighting her talent and professionalism on the show. Additionally, his time on the contest has been a personal challenge, both in the kitchen and in living with his colleagues.
