Juan del Val Gives Explanations About His Marriage to Nuria Roca: 'I Do Things'
The contributor of 'La Roca' has had to address the new controversy he has sparked with his comments
Juan del Val has become relevant again. It's all because of what he has shared about his marriage to Nuria Roca on television.
After receiving harsh criticism for comments he had made about the gossip press, he has tried to justify himself 'using' his wife, talking about their relationship. Specifically, making it clear that he is a mere collaborator in her show, where he acts as her husband: "I'm here as a cook and as Nuria Roca's husband. And then, from there, I do things."

Juan del Val's New Controversy, Nuria Roca's Husband
Juan del Val keeps finding himself embroiled in controversies due to his political or other types of comments. A good example is that in recent days he has found himself involved in another one. All because, to defend Tamara Falcó from the latest cover she had starred in, he labeled the gossip press as "fascist."
This comment led Laura Fa to attack him strongly on Espejo Público. She did so by saying: "It surprises me because he is doing gossip and it seems strange to me that he directly attacks the gossip press. What he does there is favoritism with Tamara."

Pilar Vidal tried to defend him by saying that "it's not favoritism, I think he puts himself in the role of a writer." To which Laura retorted: "He is not in those shows as a writer, he is there as many other things, but not as a writer. He doesn't do syntactic analysis of the headlines, his role is different."
Juan del Val Explains Himself by Talking About His Relationship with Nuria Roca
In response to these criticisms, Juan del Val replied from the set of La Roca, a show hosted by his wife. With his characteristic ironic tone and using his marriage, he explained: "In this show, I'm only here as a cook and as Nuria Roca's husband, and then, from there, I do things." This statement aimed to downplay the controversy and emphasize his secondary role in the show.

To which he added: "I've never understood corporatism. I talk about gossip, politics, sports... It's not a problem that I criticize the gossip press, but the news it publishes seems totally retrograde, fascist..."
The relationship between Juan del Val and Nuria Roca has been a subject of public interest on various occasions. He has wanted to use it to defend himself against Laura Fa's attacks. But possibly the only thing he has done is further fuel the controversy, in which he seems to thrive.
Moreover, the collaborator's statements about his marriage and his role in La Roca have sparked debate about coherence in the gossip press. While some question his critical stance toward this type of journalism, others appreciate his sincerity.
