Harry Urgently Calls William After What Meghan Markle Just Did: Official
Meghan Markle's Unexpected Action Leads to a New Controversy, Further Complicating Relations with the Family
Since their arrival in California, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have tried to build a freer life away from royal protocol. Even so, their connection to the crown hasn't completely disappeared. Every step they take is scrutinized by both the media and public opinion.
Prince William, like the rest of the Windsors, keeps a close eye on any gesture that might cause friction. Although the physical distances are evident, family ties still weigh heavily. In certain situations, there is no choice but to react quickly.

An Unexpected Detail in a Private Card
During a recent podcast, businesswoman Jamie Kern Lima shared an anecdote related to Meghan. She recounted receiving a gift consisting of homemade jam and a handwritten card. The signature read: "With greetings from Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex."
That phrase was enough to raise alarms among royal observers and some British media. According to Daily Mail, the 'Megxit' agreement indicated that Harry and Meghan shouldn't use the title 'Her Royal Highness.' Although it wasn't legally removed, its public use was off the table.
The image of the gift, shared by the businesswoman herself, sparked comments about whether it was used as a promotion for her brand As Ever. Jamie clarified that there was no commercial intent and that the gesture occurred on a personal level. Even so, the debate was already ignited.

Harry Reacts to the New Controversy
After the incident became known, Harry and Meghan's spokesperson assured that they don't use the royal treatment in official functions. They confirmed that the titles haven't been removed, but they aren't used publicly. However, the phrase on the card calls that statement into question.
Ingrid Seward was blunt: "If his grandmother were alive, she would feel deeply offended." The royal expert recalled that the late Queen Elizabeth II paid attention to every protocol detail. "Maybe now they think they can get away with it," Seward added.
During that same podcast, Meghan referred to the early years with Harry as a time "in the trenches." A phrase that many interpreted as a veiled criticism of the royal family. With each gesture, the tension between Montecito and London seems to grow more.
