Despite being in London for a court hearing related to his appeal over security, Harry couldn't attend the ceremony. His good friend, Charles, Lord Vivian, married Saweda Kamara last weekend at the Chelsea Old Town Hall.
Although the prince was invited to the wedding, the UK authorities didn't provide him with adequate security to attend events like this. A fact that prevented him from fulfilling one of his closest personal commitments.
According to the Daily Mail, Lord Vivian, who has a friendship with the Duke, was the one who confirmed Harry's invitation to the event. However, when asked about Harry's absence, Vivian simply commented: "I don't know. He has a lot to do."
Prince Harry's Latest Legal Battle
This isn't the first event Harry has had to miss due to security reasons. In 2022, the prince also couldn't attend the wedding of his friend Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster. All this due to the tensions that would have arisen with Prince William.
Prince Harry arrived in London on April 6 and, two days later, attended a hearing at the Court of Appeals. This latest legal battle could be crucial for the Duke to regain the protection he deems necessary to move freely.
