Fcc Group Increases Its Ebitda by 11.7% in 2024 to €1.4353 Billion

Revenue reached 9,071.4 million euros, 10.4% more than in 2023. The portfolio also recorded an increase; at the end of the fiscal year, it rose 3.8% more than the previous year.

In the 2024 annual results presented by Grupo FCC, the strong performance of the turnover throughout the year stands out, reaching 9.0714 billion euros, which represents an increase of 10.4% compared to the previous year. This growth is mainly attributed to the increased activity in all business areas of Grupo FCC, particularly highlighting the Concessions area with a notable growth rate of 26.3%, followed by the Environment and Water businesses which increased by 12.8% and 12.6%, respectively, mainly explained by the incorporation of new contracts and various acquisitions made in Europe and the U.S.

Meanwhile, the gross operating profit (Ebitda) reached 1.4353 billion euros at the end of 2024, with an increase of 11.7% compared to the previous year. This performance is due to the growth recorded in revenues and the stability of operating margins, to which the Concessions area has notably contributed. Thus, the operating margin stood at 15.8% over the turnover.

It is noteworthy that the Cement and Real Estate business areas were spun off and excluded from Grupo FCC starting in November 2024, contributing to a 27% decrease in the attributable net result, standing at 429.9 million euros at the end of the year.

The consolidated net financial debt closed on December 31 at 2.9904 billion euros, with a reduction of 3.5% compared to December 2023, mainly due to the increase in payments made for investments in the Environment and Water areas and the exclusion of the financial debt of the spun-off businesses from Grupo FCC.

Meanwhile, equity stood at 3.736 billion euros, with a reduction of 39.2% compared to December 2023, largely as a result of the partial financial spin-off of FCC in favor of Inmocemento, which involved the delivery to FCC shareholders, last November, of all the net assets of the Real Estate and Cement business areas.

Grupo FCC's backlog closed last December 31 at 43.0438 billion euros, with an increase of 3.8%.
